There are more goats than people living in Polopos so don’t be surprised if you find these two looking out for you when you drive up the mountain. Together with their 300 fellow goats and sheep, they go out with the shepherd every day from dawn to dusk. They are the sole cause of potential traffic jams around here.

But this is precisely why you would want to stay in a mountain village like Polopos: a taste of rural living, seeing unpoluted night skies, enjoying genuine peace and quiet and experiencing ways of life that have been part of human history since time immemorial, but are far-removed from our city-centric existence.

We are 15 minutes from the coast, an hour from Granada and an hour and a half from the ski slopes, but when you go to sleep and wake up in the morning, you will hear absolutely nothing. There is a restaurant and a bar in the village, you can get a massage or do a yoga class and if you are lucky you can get a tattoo.

Most of the year we are hosting artists from all over the world. They come for a residency to live and make beautiful things in Polopos. They clearly leave their mark in Casa 3.
