Saturday 10 December 2022 is the second edition of the Pop-up Polopos art walk, with live flamenco music and dance, exhibitions of paintings and photography, ceramics and poetry readings. Take a look in the recently opened artist residence of the Association of Art to promote Polopos (AAP), the new vegetarian restaurant La Cantina Verde, our own Casa 3 and the ceramics studio of Ingrid Vermulst that will open its doors next summer.
Maybe you missed the first edition of Pop-up Polopos in 2019, when Dutch cameras captured the 700 visitors coming up to our beautiful mountain village overlooking the Mediterraean Sea to witness the amazing works of art that were on display then, but you have another opportunity this year!
Get away from the hussle and bustle of your daily affairs for some great entertainment, inspiration and maybe that perfect gift to buy for Christmas. With a fifteen minute drive from the coast you are there where the magic happens. From 12 o’clock till 1800 hours on this 10th of December, Polopos is where it’s at.
You will find exhibitions in various locations in the village by Myriam Vela Blanca, Fransisco Corral, Johanne Nordstrand, Marcel von Schwarz and Thysa Zevenbergen, among others and a mural by Canadian artist Brie Atkins. At 6 we kick back and relax with drinks and delicious food at restaurant La Cantina Verde.
